2009 has been a great year, and a tiring one too.
Year 3 workload really isn’t something to kid about, but your reflexes will get sharper as time passes? Don’t understand what reflexes I’m talking about? Just ask those 3K and 3M’09 Physics students. Or maths also can. It’s a reflex action to go “Oh shit..” whenever you see a certain teacher carrying a rolled up wad of paper instead of the usual few markers. It means there’s a pop quiz on the way.
Too simple.
Or maybe for those who are even more kiasu, you should just study like mad whenever your teacher says a topic has just ‘concluded’ and it’s time to move on to the next one. Chances are, another pop quiz or even worse, a common test will hit you like a tsunami that has been sighted 20000000km from the shore in less than a week. By the weekend is more applicable. Or maybe if that lesson is on a friday then it will be on monday.
I think I’m scaring those year 2’09s out there haha..
And yeah other than academics have a heavier workload, there’s been more pressure on both DHSBT side and Council’s side.
DHSBT was err..the workload increased during the June holidays, or during the last few weeks of May that period. Matthew and I positively drowned with both Open house badminton exhibition and DHSBT training camp preparations. But the training camp ended up being pushed back to the end of the year so.. Anyway I don’t feel as if I’ve done much for badminton regarding the competition side. Hmm I should aim to fill more water bottles and help them umpire and line judge more often next year!
Council was quite hectic too
Felt that I was still the same old self during Year 1 Orientation when I still didn’t dare to speak in front of the entire year 1s’09 and don’t really dare to lead cheers hahahahaha. I guess I’m better now at the end of the year
I can speak in front of the entire school yay! One of my proudest moments was when I managed to speak through a day of chinese announcements rather fluently on my own (4-5 announcements that day were all in chinese!). Really big difference from 2008 where I was fumbling through a single chinese announcement, and I was paired up with someone else somemore. Proves that you can do it if you work hard hehe
I feel happy about myself in council haha, feels nice when you know you’ve done alot to help. Especially in the end of year training camp and handover. And it’s nice to know that I’m in CR
SMP was cool.
WOD was cool.
HACACS was cool.
NSC was cool.
Project Semakau was cool.
I’m still cool ;D
Haha and I hope 2010′s gonna be way cooler.
Next post’s gonna be on my new year resolutions for 2010, and my outlook on the next year in general.
Have a nice time drinking eggnog and champagne or whatever your toxin is. Stay cool, and don’t drink till you’re drunk.
It might feel cool now but it won’t be when you wake up with a head spliiting ear-jackhammering hangover on New Year’s Day.
